The Central Bank of India (CBI) has announced the Officer Recruitment 2026 for 350 vacancies in the Specialist Category, including Foreign Exchange Officer (Scale III) and Marketing Officer (Scale I). Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualifications

Foreign Exchange Officer (Scale III):

• Graduation in any discipline from AICTE/UGC-approved university/college

• Preference: CFA, CA, MBA in relevant streams

• Mandatory: Certificate in Foreign Exchange Operations from IIBF

• Desirable: CAIIB, Trade Finance Certification, CDCS, CITF, NISM Certifications

Marketing Officer (Scale I):

• Graduation in any discipline from AICTE/UGC-approved university/college

• Post Graduation: Two-year full-time MBA/PGDM with specialization in Marketing

Experience Required

Foreign Exchange Officer:

• Minimum 5 years as officer in Scheduled Commercial Banks

• Minimum 3 years experience in Trade Finance/Forex operations/IBU-Gift City

• Experience in LCs, Bank Guarantees, Export/Import documentation, FEMA, RBI Master Directions

Marketing Officer:

• Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience

• At least 1 year continuous experience in marketing within BFSI sector

Important: Certificates must be valid as of 01-01-2026.

Age Limit (as on 01-01-2026)

Age Relaxation:

• SC/ST: 5 years

• OBC: 3 years

• PwBD: 10 years (SC/ST – 15 years, OBC – 13 years)

• Ex-Servicemen: 5 years

• 1984 Riots victims: 5 years

Maximum age after relaxation should not exceed 56 years.

Selection Process

The selection for CBI Officer Recruitment 2026 will include:

1. Online Written Examination (100 Marks, 60 Minutes)

   • Stream/Category-specific questions: 70 Marks

   • Banking, Economic & General Awareness: 30 Marks

   • Qualifying Marks: UR/EWS – 50%, SC/ST/OBC/PwBD – 45%

   • No negative marking

2. Personal Interview (100 Marks)

3. Final Selection – Weightage: Written Exam 70%, Interview 30%
