Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess one of the following qualifications:

• Civil: Degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture

• Mechanical: Degree in Mechanical Engineering

• Electrical: Degree in Electrical / Power / Electrical & Electronics Engineering

• Chemical: Degree in Chemical Engineering or M.Tech in Applied Chemistry

• E&I: Degree in Electronics, Instrumentation, Electrical & Instrumentation, or allied fields

All qualifications must be obtained from UGC-recognized universities or AICTE-approved institutions. Candidates who completed their studies through Open and Distance Learning are also eligible if recognized by statutory authorities.

Experience Requirements

Applicants must have a minimum of 8 years of executive-level experience in Government, PSUs, or reputed organizations.

Discipline-wise experience includes:

• Civil: Infrastructure projects, construction management, quality control, RCC, structural works

• Mechanical: Maintenance of heavy machinery, refinery operations, project commissioning

• Electrical: Power systems, PLC, transformers, plant maintenance

• Chemical: Alumina refinery, Bayer process, calciner operations

• E&I: DCS systems, field instrumentation, control systems

Experience gained through contractors or agencies will not be considered. Candidates from PSUs or Government must have at least 2 years of experience in the immediate lower grade.

Salary and Benefits

Selected candidates will be placed in the IDA Pay Scale of ₹80,000 to ₹2,20,000 per month.

Selection Process

The selection will be carried out in two stages:

1. Written Test / Computer-Based Test (85% weightage)

2. Personal Interview (15% weightage)

Minimum qualifying marks:

• UR: 50%

• SC/ST/OBC (NCL): 40%

• PwBD categories: 30%

Candidates will be shortlisted in a ratio of 1:10 for the interview. Final selection will depend on overall performance and document verification.

Medical Fitness and Placement

Final appointment is subject to medical fitness as per NALCO medical standards. Selected candidates may be posted at any NALCO unit in India or abroad and are transferable as per organizational requirements.
