Punjab & Sind Bank has issued an official notification for the engagement of a Bank’s Medical Consultant on a contractual basis at its Zonal Office in Gurgaon. This recruitment is intended for qualified and experienced medical professionals who wish to work with the Bank in a part-time capacity.

Candidates possessing MD (General Medicine) or MBBS/BHMS qualifications with the required experience are eligible to apply. Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Applicants must fulfill one of the following conditions:

• MD in General Medicine recognized by the Medical Council of India with a minimum of 5 years of experience after obtaining the degree
  OR

• MBBS/BHMS with at least 7 years of experience after qualifying as a registered medical practitioner

Preference will be given to candidates holding an MD in General Medicine. In the absence of suitable MD candidates, applicants with MBBS/BHMS qualifications may be considered.

Doctors currently or previously empanelled with Public Sector Undertakings or Banks will be given preference.

Salary and Terms of Engagement

• Remuneration: ₹800 per hour

• Nature of Engagement: Contractual

• Working Hours: Approximately 8 hours per week

• Initial Contract Period: 2 years, extendable by another 2 years based on performance

No additional benefits such as leave, provident fund, gratuity, bonus, medical reimbursement, or other allowances will be provided.

Selection Process

The selection will be carried out in the following stages:

1. Applications will be screened by the Bank.

2. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview through email.

3. Final selection will be based on interview performance.

4. Selected candidates will receive an engagement letter by email.

If a selected candidate does not accept the offer, the next candidate from the waiting list will be considered.

General Instructions

• The Medical Consultant will work on a part-time basis.

• The contract can be terminated by either party with two months’ notice.

• In case of continuous absence exceeding two days, the consultant must arrange a suitable substitute at their own expense, subject to Bank approval.

• The engagement does not guarantee regular employment.

• The consultant must maintain confidentiality regarding the Bank’s affairs.

• Any misconduct, criminal charge, or breach of discipline may lead to termination.

• The Bank reserves the right to modify duty hours or location as required.

• Legal jurisdiction for disputes will be the courts where the Zonal Office is located.
