APSSB Recruitment 2026 – Apply Online for 205 LDC, Driver & JSA Posts

The Arunachal Pradesh Staff Selection Board (APSSB) has released an official notification for the recruitment of 205 vacancies under the Combined Limited Departmental Competitive Examination (CLDCE) 2026. The recruitment is being conducted for the posts of Lower Division Clerk (LDC), Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA), and Driver.

Eligible candidates who possess 10th, 12th, or ITI qualifications can apply online through the official website of APSSB. The online application process will begin on 12 February 2026 and will remain open until 25 February 2026 (03:00 PM). Applications will only be accepted in online mode.

This recruitment drive is strictly meant for eligible departmental candidates who have been certified by their respective Heads of Department.

The LDC vacancies are distributed across multiple government departments including Education, Health, Urban Development, Power, Tourism, Environment & Forest, and several district administrations. JSA posts are available in Secretariat Administration, while Driver vacancies are spread across departments like Health, Food & Civil Supplies, and Environment & Forest.

Eligibility Criteria

For LDC (Post Code 2/26)

  • Must have passed Class 12 from a recognized board.

  • Must qualify a typing test of 35 words per minute on computer (10500 KDPH).

For JSA (Post Code 3/26)

  • Must have passed Class 12 from a recognized board.

  • Typing speed of 35 words per minute on computer is mandatory.

For Driver (Post Code 4/26)

  • Must have passed Class 10 or ITI or equivalent qualification.

  • Valid driving license is required for appearing in the driving test.

Minimum Qualifying Service

For LDC and JSA

  • Multi-Tasking Staff with 8 years of regular service, or

  • Skilled Contingency Staff with 12 years of continuous service.

For Driver

  • Skilled Driver with 10 years of service, or

  • Handyman with 6 years of regular service.

Only those candidates whose names appear in the list certified by their respective departments are eligible to apply.

Salary Structure

All three posts fall under Pay Matrix Level-4 with a monthly salary ranging between Rs. 25,500 to Rs. 81,100, along with applicable government allowances.

Age Limit

For LDC and JSA

  • MTS candidates: Maximum 45 years (50 years for APST category).

For Driver

  • No specific age limit; eligibility determined by departmental service conditions.

Age and eligibility will be calculated as on 25 February 2026.

Selection Process

For LDC and JSA

Stage 1 – Written Test (200 Marks, 2 Hours):

  • General Awareness – 50 marks

  • Reasoning – 50 marks

  • Numerical Ability – 50 marks

  • English – 50 marks

Minimum qualifying marks: 33% overall.

Stage 2 – Typing Test:

  • 35 WPM on computer

  • Qualifying in nature only.

For Driver

Stage 1 – Written Test (200 Marks):

  • General Awareness – 25 marks

  • Reasoning – 25 marks

  • Numerical Ability – 25 marks

  • English – 25 marks

  • Technical Paper – 100 marks

Minimum qualifying marks: 33% in each paper.

Stage 2 – Driving Test:

  • Qualifying only.

  • Final merit is based on written exam scores.

No negative marking is applicable for any post.

General Instructions

  • Applications must be submitted online only.

  • Admit cards must be downloaded from the website.

  • Exam centre will be Itanagar only.

  • Use of mobile phones, calculators, or electronic gadgets is prohibited.

  • Multiple applications for the same post will result in only the latest being considered.
