Gujarat University has announced Recruitment 2026 for 11 Teaching and Non-Teaching positions under the Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE). Eligible candidates with qualifications ranging from Bachelor’s Degree, Diploma, Master’s Degree to M.Phil/Ph.D can apply through online mode.

These positions are offered on a contractual basis for 11 months from the date of joining.

Eligibility Criteria

Associate Professor

• Ph.D. in the concerned or allied discipline.

• Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks.

• Minimum 8 years of teaching or research experience equivalent to Assistant Professor level.

• At least 7 research publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals.

• Research score of 75 as per UGC Regulations 2018.

• Desirable: Experience in Online/Open Distance Education.

Associate Professor & Deputy Director

• Qualifications and experience as prescribed for Associate Professor under UGC Regulations 2018.

• Exposure to Online/Open Distance Education is required.

Assistant Professor

Eligibility A:

• Master’s Degree with 55% marks in relevant subject.

• NET qualification or Ph.D. as per UGC Regulations 2009/2016.

Eligibility B:

• Ph.D. from a foreign university ranked within top 500 by recognized world ranking agencies.

Desirable: Experience in Online/Open Distance Education.

Deputy Registrar

• Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks.

• Minimum 5 years of experience as Assistant Registrar or equivalent.

• Desirable: Experience in Online/Open Distance Education.

Computer Operator

• Certificate/Diploma/Degree in Computer Science, IT, DTP, Web Technology or related field.

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in government institutions, universities, PSUs, or reputed private organizations.

Technical Associate (Audio-Video Recording & Editing)

• Bachelor’s Degree in Media Production, Film Studies, Multimedia or related field.

• Preferably 2 years experience in audio-video editing and e-learning platforms.

Technical Assistant (Audio-Video Editing)

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Audio-Visual Production, Multimedia, Mass Communication or related field.

• Preferably 2 years experience in editing and online content production.

Technical Assistant (LMS and Data Management)

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT or related field.

• Preferably 2 years experience managing LMS platforms and student/course data systems.

Technical Assistant (Admission)

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/IT or related field.

• Preferably 2 years experience handling online admission systems and database management.

Salary Structure

• Associate Professor – Rs. 85,000 per month

• Associate Professor & Deputy Director – Rs. 85,000 per month

• Assistant Professor – Rs. 60,000 per month

• Deputy Registrar – Rs. 45,000 per month

• Technical Associate – Rs. 35,000 per month

• Technical Assistant (Audio-Video / LMS) – Rs. 35,000 per month

• Technical Assistant (Admission) – Rs. 30,000 per month

• Computer Operator – Rs. 25,000 per month

All positions are offered on a fixed salary basis.

Age Limit

• Deputy Registrar – Maximum 50 years

• Technical Associate – Maximum 40 years

• Technical Assistant Posts – Maximum 40 years

• Computer Operator – Maximum 35 years

• Age limit for Associate Professor and Assistant Professor not specifically mentioned in notification

Selection Process

• Applications will be screened based on eligibility and academic record.

• Shortlisted candidates will be called for interview.

• For Assistant Professor, shortlisting will consider academic score as per UGC Regulations 2018.

• Final selection will be based on interview performance.

• Communication will be made through registered email only.
