Project Details

The research project titled “Peri-Nature Water Regimes and Nature” is conducted under the Centre for Sustainable Water Research (CSWR), IIT Guwahati.

The project focuses on studying water systems in peri-urban and natural environments, with emphasis on environmental sustainability, human-nature interactions, and governance of water resources.

Eligibility Criteria

Essential Qualifications

• Ph.D in Human Geography from a recognized university.

• Minimum 3 years of research experience after Ph.D or equivalent project experience.

• At least 5 research publications in peer-reviewed journals related to environmental studies or human geography.

Desirable Skills and Experience

• Experience in qualitative and quantitative field research such as interviews, FGDs, transect walks, participatory mapping.

• Strong knowledge of GIS and Remote Sensing.

• Ability in data analysis, academic writing, and report preparation.

• Experience working with government bodies, local institutions, or communities.

• Good communication skills and ability to work in multidisciplinary research teams.
