Supreme Court Law Clerk Recruitment 2026 – Apply Online for 90 Posts
The Supreme Court of India (SCI) has released an official notification for the recruitment of Law Clerk-cum-Research Associate posts for the year 2026–27. A total of around 90 vacancies are to be filled on a purely contractual basis. This recruitment is an excellent opportunity for fresh and final-year law graduates to gain direct exposure to judicial research and legal drafting at the highest court of the country.
Eligible candidates can apply online only through the official website www.sci.gov.in from 20 January 2026 to 7 February 2026. Selected candidates will receive a consolidated remuneration of ₹1,00,000 per month.

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Candidates must fulfill one of the following:

Must be a Law Graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Law, including Integrated Law Courses, from a recognized university approved by the Bar Council of India.

Nature of Engagement

This is a full-time contractual assignment for the term 2026–2027.

The engagement does not guarantee permanent employment in the Supreme Court.

Law Clerks are not allowed to practice as advocates during the assignment.

No other professional assignment is permitted during the contract period.

Candidates may be posted in Judges’ Chambers, Registry Offices, Courts or Residential Offices as per administrative requirement.
