UPSSSC Computer Operator Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have appeared in the Preliminary Eligibility Test-2025 (PET-2025) and must have been issued a PET-2025 score card by the Commission to be eligible for this Main Examination.

Candidates for the Main Examination will be shortlisted on the basis of their normalized PET-2025 scores. Applicants having a zero or negative absolute score or normalized score in PET-2025 will not be shortlisted for the Main Examination.

Candidates whose PET-2025 result has been marked “Under Investigation” or “Provisional” may submit an application provisionally. Their eligibility will remain subject to the final decision of the Commission regarding their PET-2025 result.

UPSSSC Computer Operator Educational Qualification

Computer Operator Grade-A

Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree from a university established by law in India, or an equivalent qualification recognized by the government.

In addition, candidates must have either:

• A Diploma in Computer Science; or
• A Computer Science “O” Level certificate from NIELIT; or
• An equivalent computer qualification from an institution recognized by the government.

Candidates must also have three years of experience in the field of computer applications.

Assistant Computer Operator

Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree from a university established by law in India or an equivalent government-recognized qualification.

They must also possess a Diploma in Computer Science or NIELIT Computer Science “O” Level certificate, or an equivalent qualification recognized by the government.

For this post, candidates must have two years of experience in the field of computer applications.

Preferential Qualification for Both Posts

Other things being equal, preference in direct recruitment will be given to candidates who:

• Have served in the Territorial Army for at least two years, or
• Hold an NCC “B” Certificate.

UPSSSC Computer Operator Age Limit

The age limit will be calculated as on 01 July 2026. Candidates belonging to SC/ST and other eligible categories will receive relaxation in the upper age limit according to the applicable government notifications and rules.

UPSSSC Computer Operator Application Fee

At the application stage, candidates are required to pay only the ₹25 online processing fee shown above.

Candidates belonging to the Dependent of Freedom Fighter, Ex-Servicemen, Women, Persons with Disabilities and Outstanding Sportsperson categories will pay the fee applicable to their original vertical category.

The processing fee can be paid using Credit Card, Debit Card, Internet Banking, UPI or SBI e-Challan.

UPSSSC Computer Operator Salary

UPSSSC Computer Operator Selection Process

Selection will be made through a written Main Examination conducted under the Uttar Pradesh Advocate General and Law Officer Establishment Service Rules, 2009, as amended from time to time.

The Commission follows a two-tier examination system for such recruitment, under which only candidates who have appeared in the Commission’s Preliminary Eligibility Test are eligible to participate in the Main Examination.

For this recruitment, candidates will first be shortlisted for the written Main Examination according to their normalized PET-2025 score.

Category-wise, candidates up to 15 times the number of advertised vacancies will be shortlisted for the Main Examination. Candidates whose normalized PET score, calculated up to two decimal places, is equal to the final category-wise cut-off score will also be included in the shortlist.

If the examination is held in multiple shifts or on different days, the scores will be normalized for comparative evaluation according to the Commission’s Essential Notice No. 42/05/Vigyapan Anubhag (Eleven)/2019 dated 22 May 2019.

How to Apply for UPSSSC Computer Operator Recruitment 2026

Candidates can follow the steps below to submit their application:

1. Visit the official UPSSSC website and open the relevant advertisement available under the “Live Advertisement Segment” on the homepage.
2. Log in using the PET-2025 Registration Number and the OTP sent to the registered mobile number or email address through the Applicant Authentication process.
3. Personal information recorded during PET-2025, including name, parent’s name, domicile, category, EWS status, horizontal reservation details, date of birth, gender, marital status and contact details, will be displayed automatically.
4. Select the post or posts for which you wish to apply. A claim for a post that has not been selected in the application will not be considered valid.
5. For each selected post, confirm whether you possess the required educational qualification and enter details such as board/university name, year of passing, certificate or roll number and marks.
6. Enter the verification code. The photograph and signature uploaded during PET-2025 will appear automatically and cannot be changed.
7. Enter other required information, including preferential qualification details, and verify your correspondence and permanent address.
8. Read the declaration carefully, enter the verification code and click Save and Submit to proceed to fee payment.
9. Pay the applicable fee through Credit Card, Debit Card, Internet Banking, UPI or SBI e-Challan. After successful payment, the application will be submitted automatically. Candidates should download and print a copy for future reference.

UPSSSC Computer Operator Apply Online

The UPSSSC Computer Operator apply online facility will be available through the official UPSSSC website from 07 September 2026. Candidates must complete the application and fee payment by 28 September 2026.

Permitted corrections can be made up to 05 October 2026 through the “Modify Application” option after completing OTP authentication.

Other Important Instructions

• Candidates claiming reservation must correctly mention their category in the application. If a candidate is eligible for more than one reserved category, the benefit of only one category, whichever is more advantageous, will be provided.
• Candidates who are not originally domiciled in Uttar Pradesh will not be entitled to reservation benefits and will be treated as Unreserved candidates.
• For women candidates, the applicable vertical category will be determined on the basis of the caste certificate issued in respect of the father’s side. The prescribed caste certificate must be produced.
• Candidates already employed in Central or State Government service must obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer for participating in the selection process.
• Persons with Disabilities must possess a disability certificate in the prescribed format issued by the competent authority. The certificate must clearly mention the type and percentage of disability, and candidates must correctly select their applicable disability sub-category.
• The date, time and venue of the written examination will be mentioned on the admit card. Requests for changing the examination centre, date or time will not be accepted.
• Providing incorrect information, not possessing the required qualification by the closing date or submitting false particulars may result in rejection of candidature and debarment from the present and future examinations or selections conducted by the Commission.
• The provisions of the Uttar Pradesh Public Examination (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024, dated 06 August 2024, will apply to this examination.
